Hi thanks for asking your question

I refer all my patients who have gum problems to see out periodontist, an expert in gums and the supporting tissues of the teeth

I think the best thing for you to do would be to see a specialist to fully assess the problem and to try to ensure it’s treated and does not progress

I’d advise you to ssk your dentist to refer you or go for a second opinion directly to a periodontist near you

Hope that helps

Pedro Says :

I have gum loss due to gum disease. Now the crowns I have on top, show a black ridge around them at the gum line. Is there any way to add onto the crowns or do I have to purchase all new crowns–which are quite expensive.
