It is important to get your gum health to the best it can be and then have your teeth re assessed it depends on the severity of your gum disease and the amount and strength of bone.  Veneers or crowns are still possible but you have to be aware that they may not last as long and that you will need regular hygiene visits probably at a 3 month interval.
