I have crooked and spaced out teeth, what are my options to get them straightened?

Q. I’m a middle class teenager who’s parents aren’t the richest people in world but do what they can to support us. My dad’s an EMT and my Mom works at a day care. I would like to know your expert opinion on my situation. My teeth are crooked and are really spaced out. I really never smile and avoid talking when I can because of that.I dont want to be the best looking guy in school or the strongest but if I could find some solution to straightening my teeth I’d be happier than I’ve ever been in my life. So I’m writing to ask you what are my options. I know I cant get them fixed by the end of the year, but hopefully before my Junior year. I’m a Sophmore by the way. Help me out if you can. It would mean everything to me!

A. You need to find a good local dentist / orthodontist and go and have a consultation and they should be able to give you advice on your options for treatment.  You could have the crooked parts straightened and teeth placed in the spaces or the spaces closed.  I am afraid i can not really advise you without seeing you.
