I have been wearing a retainer, but my teeth feel loose. It’s been three months since I told my dentist and it’s not getting better. Any advice?

Q. Hi There… I have been back and forth to a dentist for the past 4 years now having my teeth straightened. I now have to wear a retainer at night. However, i have noticed that my teeth are loose and wobbly. My dentist says that this will settle down, but it has been 3 months now and there is no sign that this is getting any better… Is this normal / common. How long will it take to get better and if it doesn’t are there any other corrective treatments that i can have…? Thanks,
A. Your teeth should have stabilised by now. You need to go back to see the orthodontist who did your treatment.I would recommend you have a fixed brace put on, may be only for a couple of months this would stabilise your teeth for you, it sounds like the retainer is not enough.
