I have a fear of dental surgery and that I may lose my tooth. What can I do?

Hi I went to the dentist today but I started panicking. I have to go back to have a hygenist to clean them and then a filling. Also xrays as apprently I have a few white spots and the back of my tooth is slightly discouloured. Im worrying will I need surgery or loose my tooth. Im scared that its serious and got my self all work up.

Please don’t get worked up. Do raise your concerns with your dentist and ask as many questions as you want…it is your perogative as a patient to make sure you totally understand the dentist’s findings and the treatment options proposed.I’m sure you will be fine.
