I have a baby tooth which will fall out soon what shall i do

Q. Next to my 2 front teeth on the left ihave a baby tooth which has not come out causing a tooth to grow behind it in a different direction, this baby tooth is now becoming loose and if it falls out i will have a big gap due to the way the other tooth has grown, so was wandering what the best cause of action is before i lose this tooth and end up with a hugh gap and approximatly how much it would cost me to fix?

A. The best course of action would be to seek the opinion of a cosmetic dentist that can also  refer you to an orthodontist. The least destructive method of treatment would be to have a combination of restorative and orthodontic treatment. You may be able to have brace treatment only. The baby tooth would electively be removed and braces would be used to bring the displaced tooth into postion.

If the adult tooth is too displaced this may also have to be extraced in which case the gap could be closed with an implant, or a bridge.

The restorative dentist should be able to give you all the options. Be careful because many dentists call themselves cosmetic ao restorative dentists but don’t have the right training. You can find a good dentist from the BACD ( british academy of cosmetic dentistry) website. If you are in travelling distance of my parctice I would be happy to see you for a consultation. There is no obligation to go ahead with any treatment.
Kind Regards
