I have 5 crowns in a bridge and one is cracked what do I do

Q. I have the middle six top teeth cosmetically crowned recently. Five of them are joined as my bite is very bad. Today I have cracked one of the front ones, I have no idea how. Is it possible to repair this without the need to replace all the teeth as they are joined.

A. It is possible to repair long spans of linked crowns or bridges. Small fractures can sometimes be filled in with tooth coloured resin filling, some larger fractres camn be covered by a minicrown slip over the top of the damaged crown. However if the damage is on recently fitted work you may need to find out why it broke & control the factor(s) first. The way your teeth bite would seem a good place to start investigating.

I hope this helps

Hi, I had a porcelain crown done for my molar tooth, which fractured after a few weeks. My dentist said I should have either a gold or full metal crown made. Which will be the best and more durable option and why?
