i had veneers for 2 yrs and now i had a fall do you think root canal is a good idea

Q. I’ve had veeners for the past 2 years with no problem. However 2 weeks ago I had a bad fall and 10 days later I’m in Pain. The dentist has suggested a root canal. Do you think this is a good idea?

A. The question of root canal or not is separate from the veneer. If the nerve in the tooth has died or has been so damaged that it will die in future, you should have the root canal treatment.
