I Had A Failed Bone Graft Early Last Year And My Chin Aches Constantly. What Options Should I Take?

Q.
Hello Dr Moore. Early last year I had a bone graft to save my lower right central incisor due to bone loss. I also had some deep cleaning on all four quadrants. The graft failed unfortunately and now my mouth aches constantly in the chin area. I want to remove that tooth and do not want an implant, I want nothing to do with drilling into that so very sore area, so what other options can you suggest are available for me, besides an implant. The two teeth on either side are bending inward and pushing it further back. I hope you can help me with this as it’s causing me quite a lot of concern, many thanks.

Hello and thank you for your enquiry, based on the information you have provided I would suggest an adhesive bridge might work well in the short term (3-5 years). Try to find a dentist you have confidence in and discuss and consider the pros and cons of each course of action. I hope this helps, best wishes. Dr Andrew Moore.
