I had a brace when I was younger which straightened my teeth out

Q. I had a brace when I was younger which pretty much straightened my teeth out, my top teeth anyway. But the front four teeth at the top are quite oversized compared to the rest which leaves me with a goofy grin when I smile. I don’t mind it but I would like to have them filed/contoured to make a straight smile as apart from this they are in good shape and I hate feeling embarrassed when I smile. I haven’t heard much about this method so I wanted to ask if it is possible and also what kind of price this attracts as it seems like quite a simple technique but I don’t want to be surprised later on! Many thanks for your advice.

A. Hi

Yes it is a simple technique to recontour the teeth, however you can only trim the teeth  a small amount before they become sensitive it all depends on the amount needed to trim.

Obviously this is much cheaper than porcelain veneers, but you need to get a quote from your dentist before you start
