I don’t want to lose my front tooth but I have a large abscess that won’t go, what should I do?

Q. Hi, I just paid private £277 for Root canal, it was 6pm and he did it very quickly, I had a small abcess at root and now 5 days later their is still a bump their and it feels even bigger and still like an abcess when I press on it, I have had it 4 years and I thnk its making me run down. I have never had anti biotics, what should I do? I do not want to lose the tooth as its my front one and I need a dental bridge from it.,
A. Contact your dentist about your concerns but abscesses can take a while to disappear following root treatment

My dentist couldn’t find the route canal last week and I’m left in pain despite loads of anti-biotics, and paid 70 quid for a wasted drilling/filling now face 725 bill once some expert he’s referred me to in London can fit me in. Shouldn’t the antibiotics (double normal dosage taken) have worked after 5 days? Cheers Jon
