Q. Hey docter i am thinking of making 1 of my tooth gold just for fashion. but i do not have much knwlege about this procedure please can u tell the price it wud b to gold plate a tooth, and the procedure and what is the minimum age in order to do this

we used to do this quite often but lately it is not as fashionable.there are 2 ways to do this one involves having the tooth drilled for a crown this is not advisable as is not reversible, cost -400 onwards will be 80% gold.
the other method favoured by tv personaliites involves having a crown made that slides over your existing tooth without harming them and temporarily cmented so you can remove it as and when you like. f you use cheap metal or synthetic gold this will soon go black in the wet environment of the mouth, so i would advise a decent amont of gold cost 500 onwards.
there is no minimum age but i would advise 16 plus.
