I am not happy with my brace treatment and I would like a second opinion. Can you help?

Q. Hi, I have had braces for 2 years and 2 months and am not happy with the result. My teeth are still not straight and and now instead of being crowded have some gaps. Also, a bracket constantly falls off, last time it was reglued it lasted 2 hours. I would really like a second opinion but don’t know where to go or what to do? Can you help or give me some advice if this is normal? I don’t know what to do. I’m not even sure if I can ask a second opinion…. Thank you for any advice,
A. Hi. It’s normal for gaps sometimes to form during treatment even if they where crowded before. If teeth are more than 30 Degrees rotated it can difficult to rebond a bracket, but it all depends on the complexity of your case and how much experience your Orthodontic have. I advise you to see a different Orthodontic Specialist just for peace of mind….

Dave Says :

My daughter just had her braces removed after 5 years. Her teeth look straight but her front two teeth have divots where the brace was that looks like the cement adhesive was filed off taking the enamel and leaving a divot. The dentist claimed that the enamel would thin out over time anyway. Any advice?
