i am in a lot of discomfort my gums are sore
Q. I am in a lot of discomfort,my gum at the bottom back of my mouth is very sore and there seems to be what looks like a hole appearing inbetween the gum and my last molar,also a few cracks sorrounding the hole. the area is very sore to touch and its impossible to eat on that side.im not aware of any pain in the actual tooth itself,paracetomol is all i can take as i am 13 weeks pregnant. should i go se my dentist? many thanks

i recommend seeing your dentist as soon as you can. During pregnancy the gums can become very inflammed due to hormone changes, and towards the back of the mouth, it may be that you are having problems with your wisdom teeth.
A dentist should beable to confirm and treat this problem relatively easily and quickly.
I have a small area on my lower gum that is sore, intially along with it an apthous ulcer. Have seen the dentist twice , he did not even see the ulcer! Saw the GP ,who did see the ulcer and prescribed hydrocorisone pellets and antibiotics. This seemed to work as the ulcer disappeared but I still have the small area which is sore.
Have seen an oro maxilla surgeon who confirmed that my salivary glands are working and not infected, he does not think it is mouth cancer. The discomfort is worse in the morning upon waking. Could it be that my amalgum filling is leaching out mercury ? Have now had this for over 2 months !
i keep on getting two ulcers on my tongue and inside my bottom lip could this be due to sterss
