I am having a procera 10 crown bridge is this porcelain

Q. I am having a ten crown bridge for upper jaw. I think I want Procera. Is Procera 100% porcelain, or porcelian fused to metal?

A. Procera is an all porcelain material which is much stronger than regular porcelain used in dentistry. it is made from an alumina core which is white in colour. there is a material now that surpasses the strength of procera called lava which is made from a zirconium core which again is white in colour but nearly twice the strength of procera. the fact still remains that the porcelain fused to metal bridge work is the strongest and if you are having a ten unit bridge made i would be recommending the bridge to be made in porcelain fused to metal as you can then design the bridge with stress breakers which would potentially allow the bridge to last longer. hope all is information is helpful.
