How much will it cost to remove a gold crown?

Q.
Hi,
I have a gold cap on a upper tooth. I would like to remove it. What is the procedure and how much would it cost?
A.
If you have a gold crown that is stable I wouldn’t really recommend you remove it. However, if it needs to be replaced the basic procedure is to drill the crown off, tidy up the tooth underneath, take some impressions that will be sent to the lab and place on a temporary crown. In 2 weeks time you come back and have the new crown cemented in permanently.

Crowns with our Studios start from £595.

A line is cut in the old crown and the crown is gently flexed to break the seal.
