How much does it cost to have two teeth sealed at your practice?

Q. Dear Dr Patel My dentist is concerned about the crevices in my two back teeth and believes they are at risk from decay. She is going to put fillings in them even though they are not yet showing signs of decay. I would prefer to have them sealed instead. Is this only available to children, I am mid thirties, and how much does it cost to have two teeth sealed at your practice? Many thanks,
A. It depends on whether your dentist believes there is already decay unde rthe tooth surface. Fissure sealents can be placed at any age but are most effective when the teeth first erupt approx 6-8 years old.
