Hello, I have a slight underbite & I am 14. I am very, very self consisous about it & really want surgery to correct it. Would the orthodontis allow me to have it corrected at 14?

If your bite is how I imagine it to be, it is very unlikely that your Orthodontist would recommend surgery until you are at least 18-19 yeras old as the jaw continues to grow until that age.

ive had braces on my top teeth a long time ago to straighten them, the dentist took out 2 teeth on either side of my front two teeth as there wasnt room for them so he said. the brace moved my canine teeth forward and then they were filled down to look like the teeth that had been taken out. its never looked natural and has not fixed my underbite which is starting to ruin my top set of teeth by skimming them all the time. can i get caps etc to make my top teeth look better or because of my underbite would it not be worth it. can i get my underbite fixed?

The underbite is very difficult to fix but the teeth would probably look better with veneers or crowns. Try to see a cosmetic dentist who has experience of veneer treatment as well as orthodontics

hello do you recommend invisalign for correcting underbites? My bottom jaw protrudes ever so slightly but it is enough to cause me embarrassment and blushes! Have you used invisalign for this before and if you have what is the general treatment time?

i am 17 and i have an underbite it is class 3, if you look at it now it looks kind of okay but it is because my bottom teeth are pushed back. i am wondering how quick would the underbite procedure under this dentistry, im talking about how long the braces would be on before surgery, can i have invasilgn kind of braces and when the surgery would be etc. Also how much would it cost. NHS would take ages to fix my bite having to go through all the long procedure i want to get it done quick and efficently. thank you

i would really, really, REALLY like invisalign treatment, but i am a bit ‘hard up’ for cash at the mo, shall we say. If i got the treatment would i need to pay up front, or can i pay for it month by month instead? I’ve felt awful about my crooked smile for as long as i can remember, so if i can get the treatment soon, i would be over joyed! thank you

Hi, I had an accident a few years ago and I now have a couple of missing teeth. It is starting to affect my eating patterns as I am not eating as much and I am losing weight. I am wanting to have them sorted (some teeth removed and implants put in) but I am short on money. Is there some sort of financing (monthly payments) I can use to pay for treatment over a longer period of time? Thanks for your help

Hi I have an underbite and when in the relaxed position my bottom teeth overlep my top by the approximate thickness of a fingernail. With a little straining I can get my teeth to meet. When I smile or talk you can barely see my top teeth. My side profile also shows my bottom jaw jutting out and isn’t particularly flattering. I am due to get married in October / November 2012 and my question is what can be done so I have a decent smile for my photographs?

Very difficult to give you a definitive option without examining your teeth, but an option may be braces.

I have an underbite and would like to know the rough cost of surgery (if needed) and if there is a payment plan for correcting it this way? Or do you just offer braces and Invisalign? I’m 24.
