Q. I am supposed to be getting braces soon and i wanted to know how long would it take for me to get them after my first visit-a week?two weeks?

placement of the brace depends on how busy your orthodontist is. Usually the waiting period is a couple of weeks. If you need teeth extracted you will have to go back to your own dentist for this and then have an appointment with your orthodontist. You should call the orthodontic practice that you are having the treatment with to find out how long the waiting time is
