how could i remove the large white dot on my front teeth?

Q. On one of my front teeth, there is a large white dot which i would like to get rid of. i was wondering how i would go about this (what kind of treatment and cost). thank you

A. White spots often occur on front teeth, the main reason is often that you were ill when you were about 4 years old when that tooth was developing, the most common causes are severe influenza and chicken pox.  You need to find a good cosmetic dentist who will shine a light through the tooth to assess the depth of the white sopt.  The best treatment is microabrasion to gently remove the top layer of the white spot then a cosmetic tooth coloured filling can be placed over the spot and hide it.  Porcelain veneers in my option are far to destructive an option.
