Dentist did not know which teeth had the problem and he did a root canal on 2 suspicious teeth, was this correct?

Q. I had severe tooth ache in 2005 and i identified the tooth to the dentist although by the time i got there the pain was throughout my mouth. He took an xray but decided that he would have to root canal two teeth as he could not determine which tooth it was so he did both teeth as i was in so much pain to argue. Was he correct in what he said?

A. Sometimes thats the only thing that’s possible to alleviate the severe pain you where obviously suffering. I’m sure the dentist was thinking of your best interests.
