Could the injection have caused damage to my nerve during the filling procedure?

Dr. Hughes, I had a small filling done on a tooth in the front. The small cavity was almost in between the 2. The injection site has been somewhat bother some and now the tooth is loose and irritation is increasing coupled with a slight oder. I have an upcoming appt. for a full set of xrays and examination of the tooth. What can I expect from my dentist and do I face loosing this tooth? It is in the front..I may never smile again if that tooth has to come out. I would just like a little insight so I am not so anxious when I go for this appt. Could the injection have caused damage to my nerve or root during the procedure?

Thanks for your questions but unfortunately without being able to examine your tooth and do some tests it’s impossible for me to really know what’s going on. I’m sure your dentist will look after your best interests. If you have concerns you can always go for a second opinion and I’d be happy to help
