Q.
Hi, i’ve always been self concious about my two front teeth and i’m now 16 and i think it’s about time i try and do something. a dentist gave me braces when i was about 9 which was a mistake in my opinion because it probably made them worse. is there any way i can get them sorted for free?,

Do canine teeth take longer to move and how much pain is expected?

Monday, August 2nd, 2010
Q.
I am 33 years old and I have 8 months that I got braces . My doctor told me that in 1 and half year my teeth should be corrected. My concern is that all my teeth are moving, EXCEPT MY UPPER CANINE TEETH ( the upper canine teeth are littlle bit up but not extremely high ) however i haven’t seen yet at least a little bit of improvement on my teeth that are moving. . another extra concern is when i have the rubber bands of my brances changed i never feel the typical pressure and not pain at all comparing as the first time i got the braces, every time i got the braces’ rubber changed i never feel the pressure or pain. is that normal? TWO QUESTIONS: do canine teeth take longer to move down than the rest of teeth? should i feel pain and pressure on my teeth everytime i have the rubber band of my braces changed? how long is estimated in my age to have the teeth corrected with braces?? Please advice,

Where can I get certain products that are not widely available in Europe?

Monday, August 2nd, 2010
Q.
Can you tell me something about products such a “gishy goo”? Where can I buy this in europe? It is a silicon for lingual braces. Used I believe in the US but not common here or in Europe! A great pity – as it relieves the pain for ados. with ling. braces. Is there another product as good??? Please reply.,

Are there any other discreet alternatives to invisalign braces?

Friday, July 30th, 2010
Q.
Hello there, i really need to straighten my teeth, however i dread to have conventional braces as I am at an age which i think it will look embarassing! I work in a senior role which involves presentations and I am becoming very conscious about my teeth, I had braces when i was young but my dentist did not do a good job! I am thinking invisalign, i did visit one dentist and he said it would not be possible with my teeth without a good reason. Waht do i do, are there any other discreet options. Help please. Thanks,

I was told that I need a metal wire to avoid relapse but I’d need it for 10-15 years! Please advise me.

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010
Q.
Hello, I am looking into the 6 month smile braces, however, I was informed that after treatment it is very highly that I will have a metal wire put in behind my teeth to avoid relapse. I was told I would have to keep this wire for anything from 10-15 years!! I have never heard of anyone having this to avoid relapse, even after having braces as an adult. Perhaps I should therefore be looking at more traditional braces? Please advise, as this has really put me off having any form of cosmetic treatment. Many thanks,
