Q.
I had orthodontic work aged 14-15 where some teeth were removed. Within a couple of years, my remaining teeth had returned to their original positions. I repeated the orthodontics in 2002 with a different dentist, and had a wire retainer glued to the back of my teeth, but have been left with frequent jaw pain and clicking, and problems swallowing. I have today seen a new dentist, who has advised the retainers be removed immediately, and to go through the whole orthodontic process again, after fixing the jaw alignment (and moving all my teeth forwards). Does this seem like a good plan to try, or am i just going to spend even more money for the sake of it?,
