I was just wondering how much a single tooth replacement would cost. I know an implant is £2000 per tooth wich is fitted later with a porcelin crown but how much is a implant retianed denture tooth.

Does chrome dentures clasp onto existing teeth so do my front teeth need to be grounded

Hello. Please could you give me some advice regarding chrome dentures, I have quite a few missing molar teeth from my bottom jaw which make eating very difficult. I still have my very back molars but probably 2 missing from each side. I try to look after my teeth but have never been very lucky with my teeth. I have type 1 diabetes so I am not sure if this affects my teeth ? I went to my dentist today and she said the best option would be a chrome denture which I thought was for old people in a glass next to the bed. I had a quick look at the dentists but was a little worried people woud see I have dentures every time I smile and would they not be uncomfortable to eat with ? It looked like they clasp onto existing teeth so does this mean my good front teeth need to be groung to fit the clasp ? It would be great to see some pictures of chrome dentures and what they look like in someones mouth. Any advice or tips you could give me would be great as I feel really down about my teeth. I have dentures and is it possible to whiten my teeth along with my denture

I have dentures on my upper left side from where I had a malignant tumour removed (I have no natural gum in that area) I would like to get my teeth whitened, will I be able to get the false teeth also whitened or will I require new dentures to get a match? I am 27 years old & had the dentures when I was 16 (after failed implants), I see that they go up at an angel which is very noticeable to me when I smile. Even after many reconstructive surgeries my face is still lowered and uneven in the area where support is gained from the false gums, would I be able to regain symmetry & make it less visible with a better denture? What if any of these procedures would I be able to get on the NHS? Many thanks for your time, I look forward to your response.

My front teeth are loose and my dentist broke it so being a smoke can i have dental implants

Hi I have just returned from my dentist having had a very unpleasant time. I am quite anxious but now I am petrified, I have had a post and cron for my fromt tooth for many years. I have also had other front teeth crowned for cosmentic purposes many years ago. Over the past few days my front tooth appeard to be loose. The dentist has broken it right off today which I am not at all pleased about. He says I now need a bridge and have to have the root of the front tooth cut out. I asked him about an inplant he said a flat no because I smoke – ( not musc though) I am not prepared to wear a denture so can you please advise. Today my dentist was taking an impression and as I have a high palate he over filled it with the gunge which of course oozed out making me feel like I was choking – I panicked and tried to let him know what was happening – this stuff slipping down my throat but I could not speak – I then had no choice but to try and remove this from my airway he pushed me into the cahir and I then flipped and managed to get this out of my mouth. He was not happy and I was shaking it scared me and being pushed into the chair scared me more I guess. I am now left with a temporary crown on a post which is wobbling around I darent eat . Now I am even more petrified. Please advise. I dont see why I cannot have another post and crown. He said the root had split but I dont know how he can say that without an xray. I am almost beside myself now. Thank you for your time

Is there a cosmetic dentistry surgery that i can have other than dentures to fill my gaps

I have got several broken teeth which are level with my gums which need to be removed. Also on 3 of the front top teeth next to the gums i have a rough textured brown mark which i think is where the tooth has slowly broken away. Is there a cosmetic dentistry surgery that i can have other than dentures so i no longer have the gaps. Will the front of my teeth get browner if i had veneers? Look forward to your reply.

What way can a denture be fitted do they need clips advice

I have a 24 year old bridge that snapped and dangled in my mouth at the Isle of wight Festival. A good emergency Polish dentist after 3 injection took the bridge out on the island. Before going to the Festival I had taken anti biotics for pain over one post.My dentist xrayed it and said it was root caneled and fine except for being a little loose having been infected. In fact the tooth was rotten and had broken off completely. This caused the other post to break whilst eating, causing it to dangle in my mouth. My Dentist who i feel is good at is job is away on two weeks holiday and cannot see me under national health for a total of 3 weeks. I am thinking of having a overdenture which i believe is similar to a bridge. One post i know can be root filled and used, the other may need to come out or be used as a base for a post. I am loosing my job in four weeks so i need to stick with N.H. The Bridge is were my two main front teeth used to be. What ways can a denture be fitted do they need clips. Is an overdenture as I described. I would be greatful for advise. I have asked this question because I believe this advise is for free. Thank you.
