What would be the cost of Invisalign?

Friday, March 12th, 2010
Q.
Hi Dr Caplan I have been looking at the invisable brace. I haven’t been for a consultation yet as i have always been a little embarrased of my teeth. About 9 or 10 years ago i had a fixed brace, when this was removed i had perfectly straight teeth. I was given a different type of brace that rested on the roof of my mouth. Unfortunatly, i sounded like i had a lisp and being a child i stopped wearing it during the dsay and eventually my teeth moved. My bottom teeth don’t bother me but my top teeth do. The two front teeth have protruded out of the alignment. Would it be possible to repair this using the invisable brace?? Do you know roughly how much it would be and if you can via monthly direct debits. Thanks for your time Rebecca,

Will braces get in the way of me going to Australia?

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010
Q.
Hello, I am currently undergoing orthodontic treatment but am no where near finishing. I first applied for treatment when I was 14 but unfortunately my details got lost somewhere which delayed my treatment dramatically. Because of this I am now 18 and have only been having Orthodontic treatment for about 6 months. I have planned to take a gap year to Australia before going to university for a number of years now and would be very dissapointed if my treatment jeapordised this. I am getting my braces through the NHS for free and am wondering what will happen if I go to Australia? Thank you ,

What is the difference between NHS and private dentist crowns?

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010
Q.
Hi. My dentist has just suggested that I have my six bottom front teeth crowned as I have weakened tooth enamel and there appearance isn’t very good. Not suprisingly this occured after I filled in a survey saying that I was not happy with my teeth. He suggests going private as I would get better crowns but the rest of my teeth are not great and I don’t want them to stick out. I also want all my teeth to look whiter. Is there really such a difference between private and nhs crowns? My dentist says that I can only have two nhs crowns a year, is that true?,
