Hello ,very recently i lost the contents on an amalgum filling ,when i attended the local dentist i was informed i would need an infill and a filling ( i have become aware this is the new buzzword for making money from the gvmnt with free prescription) i know from a lifetimes experience that a simple clean out and re application of amalgum is required .please could you advise me whether my opinion is correct bearing in mind the hole from which the amalgum has come from is reatively shallow and non painfull.
Also the filling that fell out had been there for 8 years prior so i have no problem with keeping one for another 8 years so i feel any other treatment is no neccesary at cost to tax payers !
