Can you suggest a dentist to address my TMJ disorder.

Q. Hi How widely accepted is TMJ in field of dentistry.I have classic symptoms of this (am a tooth clencher, jaw out of line to the touch, noise in ears when i open my mouth, ear pain) but cant get anyone to take me seriously enough. Also, do sensitive teeth/anaesthetic cause parasthesia in face as ive had sensations in side of face where a filling was replaced (large filling, from amalgam to composite). Thanks

A. There are many dentists who have clinics and treatt only patients related to tmj disorders. If you have concerns then i would recommend you to have a referral to a dental hospital.

Hi i have been having temple headaches, shooting pains in my ear and 2-3 times i have been to the doctor because i could hardly open my jaw.The bone in front of my ear felt inflammed.I also get neck and shoulder pain all in my left. But I recently had a filling on my right side and the day after my jaw started clicking everytime i eat.I also have started getting temple headaches and neck and shoulder pain on my right.Does this sound like tmj as its getting me down with daily pain? What do i need to do?
