Q. Hello, my 15 yr old son has been referred to our local max fax unit for a labial frenectomy in 7 days time under local anaesthetic. He is now quite worried about the extent of the procedure.Is the frenulum excised at surface of the gum or beyond the point of insertion ie into the gum tissue?bewteen the front teeth excised? thanks for your help,
