Can you brush your teeth hard can you eat hard apples etc with you venneers on

Q. Help regarding what venneers. Can you brush your teeth hard can you eat hard apples etc without them coming off? what if you are sick alot would the acid in the saliva damage them or make them fall off? If you just needed 4 front top venners how much approx would cost? Also is pocelain or luminers the best? Await to hear thankyou.

A. Thank you for your enquiry.
Brushing veneers and keeping up your oral health routine is just as – if not more imprtant when you have veneers. Flossing and inter-dental cleaning is paramount. What type of veneer depends on the current state of your own tooth and it’s position.
For a good quality veneer at a cosmetic practice, you can expext to pay around £700 per veneer.
With veneers, you must remember that they are not your real teeth- so tearing into ribs etc is not advisable- as they can be fractured etc. Eating normally, however should not be limited.
Veneers are a good option to disguise teeth that have been affected throgh eating disorders etc- through the acid attacks when vomiting. As long as you remember that the underneath surface of the tooth is still present- the veneer sits on the front of the tooth. You teeth can still be affected through the sickness. This is something to think about. You don’t want to have to pay for more dental treatment a year or 2 down the line… Hope all works out.
