Can my wife receive cheaper treatment?

Q. Dear Dr Solanki – My wife (32) has suffered in the past with bilemia (from 13 to approx 25 yrs old), and this has caused her terrible probelms with her teeth. She has lost most of her back teeth and her front teeth are very weak with fillings and cracked in places, which to some extent has caused her to be depressed resulting in mild return of the eating disorder. She/we are on benefits (child tax credits) but we both are also working and she holds an NHS card – we unfortunately just cannot afford to have the neccessary dental work done, quoted at £7k, can you please give us any advice on how and if we could recieve and help from the NHS or where we might find treatment cheaper?,
A. The only way you would recieve free dental treatment is through a NHS dentist, they will be able to help and restore her teeth for her. I would register with a NHS dentist.
