can in implnt be used for cracked teeth

Q. I’m 27 and I’ve had problems with my teeth for as-long as I can remember, especially with my bottom back teeth on either side. The back three on each side have pretty much cracked and fallen apart and one on each side have been removed, one for spacing reasons and one due to an infection. I do have a slight embrarssment about them and it’s starting to affect my confidence in everyday life. I’ve booked in to an NHS dentist for October but I was wondering what would be the best course of action for them. I really don’t want any plates or dentures and I’m hoping the existing teeth can be crowned and bridged together with an implant in the middle, (on each side). Would that be the best result I could hope for? Many thanks.

A. Hi

Very difficult to give you a answer without looking at the mouth.
Of course if the teeth a re badly broken down then individual crowns are possible if the teeth are healthy. It is very important to have quality made crowns , to allow good aesthetics and good longevity.
If there are spaces because teeth have to be removed, then options are
1. dentures
2. bridges
3. implants.
each have its own advantages and disadvantages.
