Can i have white fillings placed over my silver fillings

Q. My dentist insisted that i could not get the white fillings in the back so the procedure is done and i have the silver filings in my teeth. I was wondering if there is something that dentist can put over top of the silver-ness and cover it up?,
A. generally better to replace the fillings with a solid material compared to a laminate on top

Hi!

I would also reccomend that you keep the silver fillings, and get silver if you need new ones. I have them both, and from now on, I’m only getting silver!

The white ones have been so painful, and severel of them broke after only a few years, one of my teeth needed a very painful crown becouse of this! It’s also expensive. I would call white fillings one of the biggest hoaxes ever!
