Can I have my loose tooth extracted if it’s causing me pain?

Q. i have loose or mobile (my last dentist called it that) it hurts to chew food. im 60 yr old can i just get it pulled,
A. Yes. The tooth can be extracted. I suggest- if it is very losse, that you get this tooth taken out as soon as possible as it is causing you problems in chewing/eating. If the tooth is only slightly loose, then you can perhaps try and stabilise it with regular hygienist visits. You can discuss regaining a tooth with your dentist at your next visit.

I have an impacted wisdom tooth on my lower right side that I would like removed. NHS dentists wont do this because it is not causing me any pain. Could I have this done privately?
