can i have cosmetic lumineers for my gum recession instead of the surgery

Q. I’ve had surgery in the past for gum recession and have a few more teeth to get done. I found it very painful. Can I just have cosmetic lumineers placed over my teeth, instead of going through the surgery. I have good strong teeth, but the gum is receeding.

A. The veneers won’t help with the recession plus you will need some tooth removed in the process of making the veneer. If not the recession may get worse
