Can I have a partial denture fitted without the need for a metal bar?

I have a top denture and 6 front bottom teeth of my own,can a partial bottom denture be made without the horrible metal bar that goes behind my own teeth.thank you.

Yes it can. I’d seek the advice of a Prosthodontist, who is a specialist in dental reconstruction, including dentures. You may want to consider dental implants as a far superior alternative to dentures, or as a way to stabilise dentures in a far more satisfactory way
