Can I get the cost of braces covered by the NHS?

Q. I was wondering if i can get braces covered on the nhs, i have quite big gaps in between every single one of my teeth as they are to small for my mouth and i also have a small overbite i am also 13 and want to get braces.,
A. Yes you are entitled to free dental treatment up to the age of 18 on the NHS. You need to ask your dentist to refer you to an orthodontist as the waiting list can be up to 18 months.
