As an international student, can I have braces maintained by the NHS in the UK?

Q.
I’m an international student who had braces in my home country, and am interested in maintaining my braces while i’m in the UK. Am i covered by NHS? If not, how much would i have to pay for each session?
A.
Dear Enquirer,
You will not be covered under the NHS I’m afraid. You will first need to find an orthodontist that is familiar with your specific type of braces, as there are many different types.
Fees depend on te complexity of the case, sorry I can’t be more specific but there is no set rate.
Best of luck…if you are in the London area, I would be more than happy for you to book a consultation with my in house orthodontic specialist who can guide you in the right way.
Regards,
Sunita
