Are veneers the best choice for straightening my crossed, discoloured teeth?

Q.
Hi, I’m looking into getting cosmetic dentistry but I do not know what the best option is, my main issue is the colour of my teeth and the fact that one of my upper front tooth overlaps the one next to it due to an accident when I was younger which makes my smile lobsided and crooked. Would I need veneers or is it not possible to readjust my teeth alignment so that it does not overlap? I would prefer to keep my two front teeth as they are distinctive to me and they are not a bad shape in themselves its just the overlapping that is the issue, I definitely want veneers on my there teeth though as my canines do not match in size and the rest are also not similar in shape and size. Its really getting me down now, I am 21 and have been thinking of getting my teeth done for 7 years now.

Hi and thanks for your questions.

It could well be the case that a combination of some alignment followed by either veneers or bonding is the best route to take. The most important thing for you to do next is to go for a comprehensive evalutaion of your problems, with a good cosmetic dentist, and then your situaiton can be assessed properly and some solutions offered.

Kind regards

Mark
