Any alternative to place temps after removing old crowns and veneers

Q. I am having some old crowns/veneers replaced. I have had a consultation and wax-up. My next appointment is to have my old crowns/veneers removed and temps. fitted. What if I don’t like the temps. Will they be what the permanents are going to be like and will I have any control over the shade and shape etc. at this stage. I always thought that temps were made and you could look at them before old crowns removed and be happy with them before proceeding. I am puzzled. Look forward to your reply

A. I agree the purpose of the temps is to preview your smile, no teeth should be made until you are happy with temps.  Speak to your dentist and discuss this.  Also you seethe final veneers / crowns before they are stuck on.
