Am I within by rights to request that treatment stops?

Q. My son has had his fixed brace for 8 months and it was intended to pull back his 2 eye teeth. These now look to me like they are perfect but his orthodontist now wants to put bottom baces on. I dont believe that this treatment is required. Please advise if I would be within my rights to request that all treatment stops? I am aware that he would need a retainer after stopping.,
A. You need to find out his reasons first as sometime things look ok but they are not stable resulting in relapse later on in life, it might be the bite that needs correction so speak to him first
