After the bridge was fitted, due to the awkwardness of the bite dentist removed porcelain from tooth which is now unattractive

Q. I have recently had an expensive bridge fitted to my lower back teeth(porcelain/precious metal). Because of the awkwardness of the bite, my private dentist removed a considerable amount of porcelain from one ‘tooth’ leaving unattractive metal clearly visible. The results are worse than before the treatment and have left me feeling self-conscious. I have voiced my disappointment but told this could not be avoided. Should this problem have been forseen and a full porcelain bridge offered and what, if anything can be done? Many thanks

A. Hi many thanks for your enquiry, if the bite was addressed properely then this should not have happened. my advice would be address your concern again and ask the dentist to replace the bridge to improve the overall aesthetics. i am sure if he is an understanding person he will assist to make sure you are happy.
