I would really need to see you to give you the best options.  I believe you are referring to your canine teeth which stick out.  You might find orthodontics to straighten your teeth is a better option or sometimes a combination whereby your teeth are straightened first then have some cosmetic work to finish your smile.  Before carrying out a smile makeover I often overlay some tooth coloured material over my patients teeth so we can get a quick preview of how the teeth will look at then end. You could ask your dentist to do the same so you can see how you would look.  I am sure there are a few different options available.  You can send me a photo if you would like a more detailed opinion.
