Are dental implants a good choice following gum disease?

Q. I have been told I will need full upper and lower dental implants (14 in all), all teeth to be extracted due to gum disease and bone infection, with bone grafting and sinus elevation. Once I have had the extractions and the bone grafting operation and temporary dentures fitted does it matter the length of time for the fitting of the dental implants eg if I could not afford to have them done for a further year or so would this matter?,
A. Unfortunately Implants are not my area of expertise. I recommend you have a consultation with a Implantologist to discuss all scenarios.Kind regardsDr Justin Glaisterwww.umbrellasmiles.com
