I need a root canal procedure is there any way i can still have my teeth look the same?
Q. Hi, I was wondering about a root canal. I need a root canal procedure on my right front tooth. I heard that you have to have a crown when the procedure is finished. I’m worried about my smile and if the crown color will match my other teeth. I don’t want my tooth to be obvious. Is there any way I can still have my teeth look the same ? THANKS. 🙂
A. It’s not essential to have a crown on a front tooth after root canal treatment (but nearly always do for a back tooth).
However the colour of the tooth could change after the root treatment so you might have to consider a veneer or crown in the future if this does happen.
