The cost of replacing veneers is very high does NHS replace it?

Q. I had veneers fitted when I was 16 to close the gaps in my four front teeth (Upper Left 1 & 2 and Upper Right 1 & 2) after having fixed braces for nearly 2 years. The treatment was done by my local NHS dentist. Now, 9 years later, the dentist who performed the treatment has retired and his predecessor has shown concern with my veeners. He insists I was too young to have veneers fitted as my mouth has now grown and the veneers look odd and don’t ‘sit’ properly in my mouth. My dentist has informed me that new techniques would make replacements easy and that re-shaping the veneers to suit me would look much more natural. This all sounds very attractive but I am concerned about the price tag that goes with the treatment. I was wondering where do I stand with any possibility to having the treatment funded or part funded by the NHS?

A. The veneers could be done on the NHS if you find a dentist willing to do them. As a rule cosmetic treatment isn’t covered by thre `Nhs and you should get a much better result paying for the veneers pivatley as a better lab could be used
