what % of the original tooth do you need to place a crown over?

George Says :

The % is less important than the overall condition. If there is less than 50% of the top of the tooth then a crown maybe difficult to construct

I am a 52 yr old woman who has all top teeth (15 in) crowned or filled withone bridge, even though they are not causing me problems i would like themto be replaced with natural lookin brighter whiter ones, . the bottom teeth are ok and would just need whitening.Could you please give me arough estimate to have this work done, and could all this happen in one visit? Thankyou.

My daughter who is 21 had to have a first bottom molar extracted at The London Hospital last week. I would like her to have an implant. I have had animplant myself in the past and the result was cosmetically disappointing .I have also had a crown at my normal dentist with which I was so pleased really not being able to spot it’s not a natural tooth. I could not sahy thatabout my implants. is this always the case?

I think I have a cracked implant crown, what can be done to fix it?

Thanks for your question. If the crown has cracked then it may just be a case of replacing the crown and checking how it’s fitting with the surrounding teeth. It’s best to get it checked out so that if remedial work is required this can be done as soon as possible for you to protect the underlying implant. Regards
