What are the options for me in regards to preventing further gum recession?
Q. Hi there, I have gum recession on the top and bottom teeth – started mostly at the front but gradually seems to be pulling at the back teeth. My dentist says that it is likely to be caused by harsh brushing- x rays have shown no damage structurally no i assume this means it’s not peridontal disease. I gave up smoking about 12 months ago and have switched to a soft bristled brush to try and prevent this harsh brushing. I am really conscious of the appearance of the receeded gum and want to be able to a – prevent further recession and b – also find out what options are available to try and hide the existing recession. I live in Manchester so if you could suggest any options for me i would be eternally grateful,,
A. I would advise for you to come in and visit our perio specialist he can advise what treatment you need to cover the areas recession has affected
