I got quoted £5000 for veneers, is this a good price?

Friday, March 18th, 2011
Q.

Hiya,

My teeth cross over at the front, and i am looking to get the straigtend, i had a brace three years ago but my teeth have moved back to how they was.

Also my teeth are slightly discoloured due to illness.

I went to see a dentist today and he priced my teeth at £5000 to have veneer’s.

Do all veneers cost this much?

Is there anything I can do to temporarily mask a discoloured tooth?

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011
Q.

Around 6 weeks ago I had a bad fall and damaged my front upper tooth. Since then I had a root canal as the nerve began to die and it has left the tooth severely discoloured. My dentist is reluctant to do anything for a few months as he wants to wait until the colour has stopped changing. I, on the other hand am desperate to get it fixed as I am very self conscious of it. My dentist has suggested that I have a veneer eventually, but is there anything I can do in the meatime to disguise it? Or should I just have the veneer now to save myself this heartache?

What advice can you give me to improve my teeth?

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011
Q.

Hello. I haven’t been to the dentist in a few years because frankly my dentist was horrible. I was given fillings that weren’t needed and she overlooked my over growing front teeth and never once mentioned an option to straighten them. I had 6 baby teeth removed when I was younger, yet I still have too many teeth, my wisdom teeth have been trying to grow through but there is no room for them and my back few teeth, grew at a slight angle. I’m changing dentist but have you any advice on how I should go about getting my teeth fixed? They really need help!

What are my best options for closing a gap in my teeth?

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011
Q.

i have a meduim size gap between my front 2 teeth an i am looking into getting this closed. one of my teeth is porceleen. i have no root in the tooth so it was attached with a metal bar (not too sure the medical way to explain it) i want to know if i can get veneers as i understand these have to put onto your teeth. i want the top 4 teeth veneered. also my ‘fake’ tooth was done badly as its well bigger an hangs lower than my other tooth, because it was done wrong do you think there is anyway the nhs will help towards the cost of my treatment. any info will be great. thank you :)
