I’m 15 And I Was Wondering If The NHS Would Provide Me With Lingual Braces Or Not?

Hi Dr Patel. My question is: how much do lingual braces cost? Does NHS provide it? I’m 15 years old. I have 2 of my front teeth are overlapping like they should be in the front but they are on the back and that is the only problem that I have. How long should I wear the normal braces or the lingual dental braces? I think that lingual braces are the only braces that can help me. I don’t really want the normal braces and I was wondering if there was any discount because of my age? Thank you.

Hi. You should qualify for fixed braces through the NHS which should be free. Lingual braces are more complicated and expensive than normal braces and they are only available privately. The length of time it takes usually depends on the amount of correction needed. Your orthodontist should give you more information on this through a consultation.
